This year Eli wanted to have a Batman party for his birthday. So we had just that. We had everything Batman down to bat mask instead of party hats. We think that everyone who came really enjoyed themselves. We know that Wyatt, Eli, and Isaiah did. We got a batman Piñata for the boys to knock around for a bit. They had several hits and nothing was happening. Then a mother of one of the children ask me if they pulled the ribbons would the Piñata open at the bottom. I learned something about Piñatas today. I just thought that they put the ribbons on there for decoration. I guess I should have read the instructions.
Eli received a lot of great gifts. Thank you to everyone! The one gift that he wanted that he did not receive was a pair of bowling shoes. They are in the mail and he should get these on Monday. I called the bowling alley here in town and told them about Eli's request. They ordered us a new pair of shoes and are giving them to us free of charge. I spoke to the Mary Ann, who made all of this happen for us, and she was upset that they didn't make it in time for Eli's birthday. So she is also going to give him some bowling passes. He is going to be so excited. She said that he could try them out as soon as he gets them now. She also told me that they glow in the dark! Okay if any of you remember how Eli is about his shoes. He would not take off his crocs even to go to sleep. It was a fight but I would make him take them off before bed. I would check on him later through the night and he would have them on his hands!!! If he was like that with rubber shoes think about the time I am going to have with him and glow in the dark shoes. He said the reason why he wanted them so bad was so he could wear them when he played bowling on the Wii.
Eli had a lot of fun at his party. He said his favorite part was getting to eat the candy. Stay tuned the adventure is just beginning...we are now planning a party for Wyatt on Friday. It is a boy/girl party and then the boys will be sleeping over. Well I hope they fall asleep. Speaking of sleep. After the party Isaiah took a nap. He woke up and got on my lap. He only set there for a few minutes then he got up and crawled under the living room table and fell asleep. Good times!
